I got a notice in the mail that I had fine for not paying while going through the toll. If anyone has recieved one of these...they are well aware that the picture they send you of your license plate is kinda blurred and out of focus. Well...as I can make out for the most...it looks like the numbers registered to me...but its not my bike! Not even a friends bike. I dont have signal lights and or bags. And my rear fender is chrome. The bike in the picture looks like a sportster black fender with hard bags. Kinda weird. I tried contacting fastrak and still have had no response. Does any know how to go about really contesting this and having it be a winning situation? The money isnt much...but my main concern...is that someone may be out there with the same plate! What are the chances? And how do I find out for sure to clear this matter up?

Mon, January 9, 2006 - 2:30 PMmaybe talk to someone at the dmv and see if they know who to talk to? not sure. sounds like a annoying situation. basically you're stuck trying to talk to a bunch of shitheads that don't want to help you, right?

Mon, January 9, 2006 - 6:09 PMI got a ticket in the mail ($5) for going through the carpool lane & not paying... but it was carpool hours, and I was on my bike. I sent a (snailmail) letter back in the envelope they sent explaining that I was on 2 wheels and therefore shouldn't have received a ticket. It was waived. I know it's not the same situation, but it seems that sending the snailmail did the trick - hopefully it will do the same for you.
Good luck! -

Mon, January 9, 2006 - 10:50 PMyeah...stuck talking to a bunch of shitheads that dont get it...and not getting anywhere. Customer service my ass. Well not really. You know what I mean. Im just wondering too how often it happens that they issue the same plates out. What a nightmare. Its hard enough keeping up with my own onslaught of avoiding tickets...much less having to explain myself out of someone elses. Thanks for your replies. Ill keep ya updated, Cheers -

Mon, March 6, 2006 - 2:34 PMi know this was a while ago, but i actually ended up getting a ticket for not paying toll when i did.
the ticket you get, for anyone's future notice, should have a website on the back where you can either pay or contest it. i contested it and within a few days got a notice that all charges were dropped. it's a stupid pain in the ass, but not impossible to get out of.
